HESI Testing Your first step toward starting a health sciences program
The HESI exam is a nationally validated assessment used to identify candidates who are most likely to succeed in competitive health sciences programs. It gives every applicant a fair and consistent way to demonstrate their readiness.
The HESI is required as part of the admissions process for the following programs: Dental Hygiene, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Echocardiography, and Radiography.
Ready to Take the HESI Exam?
Before your exam date, make sure you have completed the following:

- Create your Evolve account and make sure you know how to log in.
- Schedule and pay for your exam in Evolve.
- Bring a valid photo ID.
When Is the HESI Offered?
The HESI exam is offered four times per year: February, May, August, and November. Students may test up to two times per program within each academic session (June 1st to May 31st).
Use the table below to plan when to register. Registration opens and closes on a set schedule each session.

Creating your Evolve Account
- Visit the and click "Sign In" on the upper right corner of the screen.
- Click "Create Account".
- Select "Student" and enter your personal details.
- Click "Submit".
- After completing these steps:
- A pop-up appears with your automatically generated username and your provided password.
- An email with your login details will be sent to the email address you gave at registration.
